ACTNews, GAZA – The Gazans are still struggling to recover their lives after the Israeli attack last May. The Israeli attack also claimed the property of families in Gaza. They also have difficulty making ends meet.
Aksi Cepat Tanggap continues to help the recovery of the Gazans. In mid-August, ACT delivered food assistance to beneficiaries from Monday (8/16/2021) to Thursday (8/19/2021).
Said Mukaffiy from ACT’s Global Humanity Response Team explained that food aid was packaged at the Indonesia Humanitarian Center. “Each package weighs at least 25 kilograms and contains various foodstuffs such as rice, salt, sugar, cooking oil, canned meat, canned cheese, nuts, chili sauce, and other food ingredients. More than 4,000 underprivileged residents of Gaza have become beneficiaries of this action," said Mukaffiy, Sunday (8/22/2021).
Distribution was carried out from North Gaza to South Gaza. Beneficiaries in Jabalia and Um Al Nasser in North Gaza, Al Sabra in Gaza City, Tal Asoltan in Rafah, and Al Cuba in Khan Yunis received these food aids. ACT Volunteens delivered directly to their houses,” said Mukaffiy.
Mukaffiy adds that currently, most of the Gazans continue to depend on the assistance of various parties. Hopefully, the distribution of food packages continues for the following weeks. Mukaffiy also invited Generous Friends to continue to provide the best aid. With the support of benefactors, ACT's humanitarian actions can continue in Gaza.
