ACTNews, WEST JAKARTA – Sahadah (54) was massaging her husband's paralyzed leg when Aksi Cepat Tanggap (ACT) team came to her house in Wadas Village, Kalideres, West Jakarta. Sahadah has been out of work for more than four years. She decided to leave her job as a laundry maid to take care of her sick husband.

She was grateful for the Qurbani meat and Waqf Rice from Global Qurban-ACT. Her husband suffers from complications of various diseases. Her only source of income is her son who works as a motorcycle taxi driver. With only a little money she has, Sahadah can only provide simple meals for her family.

“We usually eat simple dishes. For example, if we only have tempeh then we only eat tempeh during the day. The money from my son is used to buy my husband's medicine. Alhamdulillah, I receive meat and rice. A big thank you to ACT for coming to my house to deliver this meat. Hopefully, Allah will repay your kindness, "said Sahadah, Tuesday (7/20/2021).

Sahadah also used the money from her son to refill oxygen cylinders for her husband. Hence, her husband can breathe when he is experiencing shortness of breath. He usually needs up to three oxygen cylinders every two weeks.

“It is hard to find the refill of oxygen during the covid-19 pandemic. The price is higher than usual. It costs IDR 80,000 to refill. Alhamdulillah, I got the cylinder from my rich neighbor, so I don’t need to buy it,” said Sahadah.

Sahadah said she did not know what kind of meat dishes she would cook. ”Usually, I cook stew or soup. Alhamdulillah, my husband does not have any restrictions on eating meat," she concluded. []
