ACTNews, WEST KUTAI – Recently, Vino Alviano Dava Raharjo or Vino went viral on news and social media. The 10-year-old boy has become the talk of the town because he has to undergo self-isolation by himself at his home in Linggang Village, Purworejo, Tering District, West Kutai Regency. Vino is now left alone after his parents and his sibling in his mother’s womb died from Covid-19 on Eid ul-Adha.

Vino was tested positive for Covid-19 when his parents died. Thus, he has to self-isolate alone in his house. Fortunately, neighbors and relatives were there to accompany the boy from outside the house to cheer him on.

Aksi Cepat Tanggap (ACT) and Masyarakat Relawan Indonesia (MRI) visited Vino who was still self-isolating. Apart from meeting Vino’s relatives who take care of him, MRI volunteers also delivered assistance to support Vino.

“We didn't expect Vino's parents to die of Covid-19," said Tri Widodo, Vino's uncle.

Until now, ACT and MRI continue to monitor Vino's health progress. Prayers continue to be said for Vino whose parents used to be pentol (Indonesian snack) peddlers.

"We will try our best to support Vino so that he can continue to live and achieve his dreams," said Khaidir Ali from ACT East Kalimantan Program team.[]
