ACTNews, GAZA – Aksi Cepat Tanggap disinfected a number of public areas in the Governorate of Gaza, North Gaza, Central Gaza, Khan Younis, and Rafah. The disinfection was a result of cooperation between ACT and the government of Gaza and Jabalia City. This endeavor is carried out in order to prevent the spread of the coronavirus and to maintain the cleanliness of areas where the virus can potentially spread such as shops, city centers, waste disposal stations, roads, and parks.
Armed with complete personal protective equipment and disinfectant liquid, ACT volunteers in Gaza moved to various corners of the city.

Aksi Cepat Tanggap partner in Gaza Ahmad Annajjar said, thanks to the kindness of Indonesian donors, the disinfection could be carried out in the region with one million inhabitants. "The disinfection was done in public places like roads, police stations, and shops. Thank you for your help," Ahmad said.
Said Mukaffiy from the Global Humanity Response (GHR) Team - ACT explained that the disinfection in Gaza City was an effort to minimize the spread of COVID-19. "With the help of the benefactors, ACT seeks support Gaza in the fight against COVID-19. In addition to disinfection, we have also provide personal hygiene packages for the people of Gaza City, "Said explained.
As of 20 April 2020, a total of 15 people were reportedly positive for COVID-19. Two people who had just tested positive for Covid-19 were described as having just traveled five days ago. They are now undergoing quarantine in one of the quarantine facilities in Rafah, provided by the Gazan authority.
