ACTNews, BANGKA – Ibn ‘Abbas said in a hadith, "The Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, was the most generous of people in giving charity. He was even more generous in Ramadan.” Therefore, it is not surprising that his followers continue to give charity regardless of the economic conditions.

This was done by teachers who are members of the Friends of Indonesian Teachers forum in Bangka. They are the beneficiaries of financial assistance from Global Zakat-ACT’s Friends of Indonesian Teachers program. In the last days of Ramadan, they prepared the Ramadan gifts for orphans at Al-Islamiyya Islamic Primary School, Petaling, Bangka.

Alhamdulillah, the distribution of Ramadan Gifts and iftar with orphans have been carried out. This activity was initiated by the members of Friends of Indonesian Teachers and teachers at Al-Islamiyya Islamic Primary School. We hope to be able to help students meet their needs during Ramadan so that the children can worship optimally,” said Juleha, the Head of Friends of Indonesian Teachers Forum Bangka.

The students were happy and felt grateful for this assistance. They were excited to play various games with volunteers from Masyarakat Relawan Indonesia (MRI).

“This activity is a manifestation of kindness and also a reflection of ourselves that generosity has no limit. We can follow the members of the Friends of Indonesian Teachers forum’s step. They are underprivileged honorary teachers with low salaries but have a great spirit of generosity,” said Raffles Gordon Kusumah from the Program team of Global Zakat-ACT Bangka.[]
