ACTNews, GAZA – Aksi Cepat Tanggap (ACT) has relentlessly distributed assistance to impoverished families in Gaza through various programs. The kinds of assistance that ACT distribute vary from foodstuff and meal package distribution, educational assistance, to sponsorship for impoverished Palestinian families through the Sister Family Palestine - Indonesia (SFPI) program.

This October, nearly 500 impoverished residents from three Gazan governorates benefitted from the program. They are poor families in Gaza who have no breadwinners. ACT Palestine directly handed over the assistance to each family.

"In North Gaza, distribution was carried out in the areas of Jabalia, Beit Hanoun, and Beit Lahia. In the Central Area, the team reached Al Moghraqa and Deir Albalah. In South Gaza, the aid distribution covered Khan Younis and Rafah,” reported Said Mukaffiy from ACT's Global Humanity Response team, Monday (10/25/2021).

Through this sponsorship program, the Gazan families can buy food, pay for medical bills or rent.

“This program has contributed positively to the well-being of Gazan families. In addition, it also serves to strengthen brotherhood between the peoples of Indonesia and Palestine,” added Said.

Following the Israeli attack in May 2021, many people in Gaza have been struggling to rebuild their lives. ACT, through Sister Family Palestine – Indonesia and other programs, acts as an intermediary between generous Indonesians who want to donate and the needy Palestinian families. []
