ACTNews, MAKASSAR – Many people have been competing in doing acts of kindness by performing qurbani amid the COVID-19 pandemic. Since the beginning of June, the social media influencers in Makassar, South Sulawesi, had invited their followers on social media, relatives, family, and friends to participate in joint-Qurbani through Global Qurban-ACT.
Social media influencers, namely Wiwid Wahidah, Red Girl, A Dian Fiqhy Pratiwi, Syarifah Hana Ahmad, Moh Ikram Nur, Muhammad Farzan, Fadel Hidayat, Tumming & Abu, and Gadis Maharani, participated in campaigning for a joint-Qurbani program through Global Qurban-ACT. The influencers campaigned for joint-Qurbani through various social media platforms.
One of the influencers in Makassar who initiated the joint-Qurbani program was Wiwid Wahida. Through her Instagram account, Wiwid invited her followers to participate in joint-Qurbani for people in need. This is the second time Wiwid has taken this action.
“Alhamdulillah, this is my second year of collaboration with Global Qurban-ACT, inviting friends to participate in joint-Qurbani. This year, the funds collected were used for two Qurbani animals, namely one sheep for Palestine and one goat on behalf of Generous Friend Wiwid Wahida," said Wiwid Wahida, Saturday (7/17/2021).
Nurmansyah from ACT South Sulawesi team explained that collaboration with influencers in Makassar is one way to invite the public to respond to problems that occur in Indonesia, for example, the Covid-19 pandemic has an impact on poor communities.
“This collaboration is not just a simple invitation. The contribution of the social media influencers to Global Qurban program aims to make people aware of their surroundings. Insha Allah, through their offer of joint-Qurbani, underprivileged people will be able to taste Qurbani meat at Eid ul-Adha,” explained Nurman.
