ACTNews, JAKARTA, MAGELANG, AND TASIKMALAYA – The Aksi Cepat Tanggap (ACT) Branch Offices in several regions continued to hold special events to welcome Ramadan. In Central Jakarta, the ACT Branch of Central Jakarta along with the volunteers from Masyarakat Relawan Indonesia cleaned Al-Falaah Mosque in Pejompongan, Friday (03/25/2022). The team also donated food packages to orphans around the vicinity of the mosque.

According to Hero Gefthi from the Central Jakarta ACT team, the mosque cleaning activity was chosen because the mosque would be the center of both religious and social activities during Ramadan.

"This event also aimed to educate the public to love and enliven the mosque," said Hero.

The ACT Branch in Magelang, on the other hand, held a special parade to welcome Ramadan in Klopo Village of Tegalrejo District, Sunday (3/27/2022). The event also included entertainment for children and donations to local orphans.

In Tasikmalaya, the local ACT Branch handed over food aid to poor families in Padakembang, Singaparna, and Ciawi. Fauzi Ridwan from the ACT Branch of Tasikmalaya said, in terms of the economy, everyone had different circumstances in welcoming the upcoming Ramadan. This is why they distributed aid packages to the needy. It is hoped to ease their burdens amid soaring food prices.

"At the moment of the holy month, together with benefactors, we will try to give the best to the community. This action will also continue during Ramadan and Eid al-Fitr," explained Ridwan, Tuesday (3/29/2022).[]
