ACTNews, SOUTH JAKARTA – Ramadan is around the corner. To prepare for the month where we are obliged to fast during the day for 29 to 30 days a month, how can we keep our immune system strong?
Dr. Jati Satrio, M.D. from Humanity Medical Services – Aksi Cepat Tanggap (ACT) said we could still do exercise when fasting to keep our immune strong. One thing to note is that we should not do exercises that make us sweat too much.
“If you are not fasting, you can do any kind of exercise as per your body’s ability. If you are fasting, you must choose the kinds of exercise that do not cause you to be dehydrated,” he said, Wednesday (3/9/2022).
Dr. Jati continued, we must do regular exercise three to five times a week for 15 to 30 minutes each session. Regular exercise and enough rest make a good combination to strengthen our immune system.
"When our immune system is strong, we can fast in Ramadan smoothly and solemnly. We will remain fit without food and drink for around 12 hours. So, let’s start exercising regularly before the blessed month of Ramadan,” he concluded.
