ACTNewsGOWA – On Thursday (3/24/2022), the Aksi Cepat Tanggap (ACT) and Masyarakat Relawan Indonesia branch of Greater Makassar came to Khalid bin Walid Islamic Boarding School in Somba Opu District in Gowa Regency to present suhoor meals for students who were preparing to begin their supererogatory fasting.

Head of the Masyarakat Relawan Indonesia (MRI) of Greater Makassar Branch Hariyadi mentioned that this program is a regular program that is funded by well-managed alms. The meals were distributed not only to students but also to the poor residents around the school.

“The fajr alms that we gather and manage become these meal packages. We hope that the best almsgiving that we channel can be enjoyed by many and bring immense blessing,” hoped Hariyadi.

One of the guardians of the students, Jumrah Amir, expressed her happiness about the suhoor packages. She said that this school is a learning center for children coming from poor families as well as orphans and new Muslims.

“I am happy for the free meals for the students who are about to begin their fasting,” revealed Jumrah. []
