CITY – The school was vibrant with activities as students have begun returning
to the school. When the Global Zakat – ACT team of Tasikmalaya visited the Paozan
Elementary School in Parakannyasag Village, Indihiang District, Tasikmalaya
City, the learning activities in classrooms resumed although they still strictly
implement health protocols.
Tuti was one of the
teachers. Her face was shining with enthusiasm as she taught her students. For
decades, she has served as an honorary teacher.
She admitted that
her income as an honorary teacher is not enough to make ends meet. This is why
she also sells snacks to make more money.
To Tuti, serving
as a teacher is a noble task. She hopes that honorary teachers in Indonesia.
In order to
support the struggle of honorary teachers, Global Zakat-ACT Tasikmalaya
continues its efforts to distribute financial aid to honorary teachers in
Tasikmalaya and its surroundings. For the first phase, financial aid was handed
over to ten honorary teachers in May.
She couldn’t hide her gratefulness for what she and her fellow honorary teachers received. “Alhamdulillah. We hope that what we have received from you, generous donors, can bring multiple rewards to you,” said Tuti emotionally, Thursday (5/19/2022).

This program was
part of the Friends of Indonesian Teachers program launched by Global Zakat –
ACT. “Alhamdulillah, we have continued the program and sent the assistance
donated by the generous donors. For the first phase, this month, there will be
twenty beneficiaries that will receive the assistance. Ten teachers from
Tasikmalaya City have received the assistance. The rest will be given to
teachers in the area of Pangandaran,” said Fauzi Rizki Pratama from the Aksi
Cepat Tanggap (ACT) Tasikmalaya team. []
