ACTNews, PATTANI, YALA, NARATHIWAT – Aksi Cepat Tanggap (ACT) continues to deliver aid from the generosity of Indonesian people. This time, ACT delivered new Quran copies to Muslims in Thailand in the regions of Pattani, Yala and Narathiwat.
Firdaus Guritno of ACT’s Global Humanity Response - ACT Team for the Asia region explained that the new Quran copies have been distributed to a number of madrassas since July. "The recipients of the new Quran copies include schools, mosques and community groups," said Firdaus, Wednesday (9/16).
The new Quran copies were distributed to Darultaqwa school in the Resak'ot area, a Quran school in Muang, Nurulhuda Mosque in Rattget, and the Muhammadiah Kuawe Mosque in the Cha Airon area in Narathiwat district. In Yala, the new Quran distribution reached the Raman area, while in Patani the Koran was accepted by the people in the Khapo area.
Previously, ACT has also sent food aid for impoverished Muslims in Pattani, Yala, and Narathiwat in October 2019. Also, during Eid al-Fitr season, ACT also sent them gifts and food packages.
"There are Muslim brothers and sisters who are in need of assistance in Thailand although their number is small. We are inviting generous friends to support ACT's efforts in providing assistance to them. The best alms can be distributed through BNI Syariah account number 66 0000 9009 in the name of Aksi Cepat Tanggap," Firdaus asked.
