ACTNews, PEKALONGAN – Aksi Cepat Tanggap (ACT) Pekalongan collaborated with Kampung Berbagi (Sharing Village Community) carried out Free Food Operation in the beginning of September. Tens of Waqf Rice packages were distributed to the underprivileged residents. The assistance is expected to ease the residents’ burden during the prolonged pandemic.
Kampung Berbagi is a social community from Pekalongan. Every day, they tend to distribute at least 250 meal packages to the people in need. ACT Pekalongan supported their activity by providing Waqf Rice to be distributed together with kampung Berbagi.
“Thank you ACT and all the volunteers who support our activity from Kampung Berbagi. May Allah reward us with multiple blessings,” said Chrystiana Ratna Dewi Mayasari, the founder of Kampung Berbagi.
It was not the first collaboration between ACT and Kampung Berbagi. Previously, last August, both parties have carried out Free Meal Operation by distributing hundreds of meal packages to residents around Walisongo Mosque, Pekalongan City.
Free Food Operation is an effort by ACT to solve the pandemic impact, especially in the food sector. In Pekalongan, not only with Masyarakat Relawan Indonesia (MRI), but ACT also collaborates with various local communities to carry out the program. The goal is to strengthen people’s generosity and benefit more people in need.
"ACT is open for humanitarian collaborations so that the benefits can continue to expand," said Aditya Nugraha from ACT Pekalongan Program team.
