ACTNews, IDLIB – New Quran copies and Quran-learning books were delivered to a number of Internally Displaced People (IDP) settlements in Idlib City. Each copy of the Quran copies and Quran-learning books were printed by Aksi Cepat Tanggap (ACT) partners in Idlib.

From October 10 to 18, these Quran copies were distributed to IDP in Kafr Takharim, Killi, Atmeh, and Idlib City. Firdaus Guritno from ACT's Global Humanity Response team reported that the beneficiaries of this assistance were Syrian internally displaced children in Idlib who were students learning to read the Quran at local Idlib mosques. "From the printing to the distribution, they were all carried out directly by ACT team and volunteers in Idlib," said Firdaus, Monday (10/19).

Besides Quran copies, ACT also regularly distributes bread packages in Idlib and North Idlib. In mid-September, for example, warm loaves of bread were distributed to families and children in need along with donations for orphans. The aid distribution was able to be carried out thanks to the generosity of Indonesian donors.

Idlib, a governorate in northwestern Syria, is one of the regions with the most internally displaced persons, over 830 thousand people. The region is one of the most-severely affected regions by the humanitarian crisis in Syria.

"Your support means so much. There are many programs that we are carrying out. We hope that you can continue contributing to our initiatives,” said Firdaus.

You can contribute to help the Syrians through various humanitarian programs by donating via Indonesia Dermawan website or BNI Syariah account at 66 0000 9009 in the name of Aksi Cepat Tanggap. []
