Tanah Bumbu Flood Survivors Receive Meal Packages Assistance

Muhammad Rizki from ACT South Kalimantan Program Team said that hundreds of meal packages were distributed according to the needs of flood survivors in Tanah Bumbu. The meal packages were distributed to survivors who were staying at their respective houses.

ACTNews, TANAH BUMBU – Flood survivors in Sinar Bulan Village, Satui District, Tanah Bumbu Regency, South Kalimantan received hundreds of meal packages from Masyarakat Relawan Indonesia (MRI)-ACT Tanah Bumbu, Saturday (8/14/2021). The meal packages were distributed to survivors who were staying at their respective houses. The volunteers used rubber boats to distribute the meals to each of the residents’ houses.

Muhammad Rizki from ACT South Kalimantan Program Team said that hundreds of meal packages were distributed according to the needs of flood survivors in Tanah Bumbu. “Alhamdulillah, assistance from the benefactors has been distributed to the flood survivors. The recipients also hope that this kind of assistance will still be given to them until the flood completely recedes," said Rizki.

In addition to meal package distribution, MRI volunteers also opened a public kitchen to help the survivors. Rizki said that the public kitchen activity would be adjusted to the survivors’ needs.[]
