ACTNews, TANGERANG REGENCY – When explaining the virtue of charity, Ustaz Hafidz Assaifi quoted a hadith; Abu Hurairah (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Prophet Muhammad said, "Two angels descend every morning, and one says: 'O Allah, give him who spends something, in place of what he spends.' The other one says: 'O Allah, give destruction to him who withholds". (HR Muttafaq Alaih dari Abu Hurairah RA)

"There are those who give charity with their wealth, knowledge, or their energy. However, no matter what kind of charity they give, Allah will repay them," said Ustaz Hafidz Assaifi during his lecture at Koper Hamlet, Koper Village, Kresek District, Tangerang Regency, Saturday (11/20/2021).

Giving charity is very great to the point when someone invites others to share and moves them to give charity, Allah rewards that person with the same goodness. “Although we only encourage people to give in charity, the reward will still flow for us even when we are sleeping. His charity has been extraordinary," explained Ustaz Hafidz.

Quoting the hadith narrated by at-Tirmidhi, Ustaz Hafidz also said that the wealth of a person who gives charity will not decrease, instead, it will continue to increase. Ustaz Hafiz gave an example through the story of a culinary entrepreneur from Indonesia.

Earlier, when the entrepreneur started his business, he gave away 1,000 fried rice to his customers with a note that the customers had to pay for the rice with a prayer. Therefore, through his hard work along with thousands of prayers, his business found its success.

"It's not that Allah reduced his sustenance, but instead, Allah gave him a lot of business opportunities with its branches anywhere. Now, he has a lot of assets with many marketplaces. Who would have thought that his business now has become a well-known business," said Ustaz Hafidz to the congregation.

That is the virtue of charity. Moreover, some of the worship has the value of charity such as fasting, paying zakat, fines of hajj in the form of a goat, also paying fidya and kaffarah.

“So actually, our main point (of worship) is sharing, and it’s also our happiness to share with others. If we want to be helped by Allah, then help others," said Ustaz Hafiz, closing his lecture with one of the Quran verses.[]
