ACTNews, BANYUASIN – Global Qurban-ACT once again shared the happiness of Eid Al-Adha this year. Some qurbani meat has been evenly distributed in some areas in South Sumatra.
On Monday (8/12), Global Qurban alongside some volunteers from Masyarakat Relawan Indonesia (MRI) sacrificed qurbani animals in the village of Mulya Agung, Banyuasin Sub-district. The qurbani meat was distributed after being cut up and packaged.
The distribution targeted some residents in some areas including Pagaralam, Baturaja, Banyuasin, Musi Banyuasin, and Palembang City. Some volunteers around those areas joined and contributed in the distribution process.
“Alhamdulillah, today we have slaughtered some qurbani animals. These animals were donated by our generous benefactors trusted to Global Qurban – ACT South Sumatera. Not only slaughtered the animals, our volunteers also distributed the meat to the residents of some remote areas in South Sumatra who deserve it,” Reza Ardiansyah from Global Qurban – ACT South Sumatera said on Monday (8/12).
Ummul Fauziah, a resident of Mulya Agung Village, Banyuasin prayed for the benefactors who sent the meat to her family. “Thank you very much for giving me the qurbani meat. May Allah bless you all with a long, healthy life,” she hoped
Zainab, an elderly woman from Palembang was very happy and touched when the Global Qurban-ACT came to her house. “Thank you very much for coming to my house. Hopefully you always be blessed with health and happiness,” he said.
In addition to the distribution of qurbani meat in Banyuasin, Global Qurban also held a Qurbani Thanksgiving on Tuesday (8/13). The event was attended by some residents who were affected by fire in Ogan Baru, Sungki, Kertapati, and Palembang. Global Qurban-ACT also invited some professional chefs from Palembang city to cook in the event.
