ACTNews, PANGKALPINANG – Since the beginning of Ramadan, Aksi Cepat Tanggap (ACT) Bangka has invited the community to give Ramadan gifts for underprivileged children with special needs. These happiness packages are expected to cheer those who are born special. With the support of the community, this initiative was finally realized and, and the gifts were distributed towards the last ten days of Ramadan.
Located at the Public Special School Pangkalpinang City, the Ramadan gifts were distributed to children with special needs, Monday (5/3/2021). The children were very happy during the event that was also supported by Masyarakat Relawan Indonesia (MRI) volunteers. They played games, listen to stories, and finally had iftar together.
“Children with special needs, of course, need more attention from us. Moreover, they come from underprivileged families, so apart from their basic needs, the parents also need additional funds to look after these special children, "said Raffles from the program team of ACT Bangka.
Happiness could clearly be seen from the faces of children. Their limitations do not stop them from living their lives.
"Alhamdulillah, with this activity, we feel happy and assisted. Hopefully, in the future, there will be more concern for children with special needs. Thank you also to the benefactors who have given Ramadan Gifts, may Allah give blessings in this glorious month, "said Oki, one of the teachers.
Until the end of Ramadan, ACT will continue to open opportunities for people who want to be involved in similar acts of kindness. The best alms can be distributed through BNI Syariah 88 0000 2329 in the name of Aksi Cepat Tanggap.
