The Happiness of Sharing Qurbani to Indonesian Remote Areas

For some qurbani donors, being able to share qurbani meat every year to the needy in all parts of Indonesia is a pleasure. Some of them shared their experience of trusting their qurbani to Global Qurban for almost a decade.

ACTNews, JAKARTA, PASURUAN – This Eid Al-Adha is the seventh Eid Al-Adha for Yuni Yanti (50) to perform qurbani through Global Qurban - ACT. Since 2013, she has trusted Global Qurban – ACT with her qurbani. Every year, Yuni, an employee from South Jakarta, allots some of her wealth so that she can perform qurbani every year. "I want to purify my wealth, and share with those in need,” she admitted to ACTNews, Tuesday (7/28).

Yuni actually can't remember when did she perform qurbani through Global Qurban for the first time. All she remembers is that she saves some money every year for qurbani. "Wow, seven years? That’s how long has it been?" she continued.

Her introduction to Global Qurban - ACT began with becoming an ACT donor. Then, after learning that ACT also distributes qurbani to all corners of the country, Yuni decided to perform her qurbani through Global Qurban - ACT.

She is grateful that Global Qurban – ACT has helped her in performing her qurbani. She does not need to buy the animals for themselves. Additionally, the prices are also very affordable, and the report of the distribution given after the qurbani is clear. "The convenience is what I like, especially in delivering my qurbani to remote areas,” she said.

A similar story was also told by Kumaiyah (61), a retiree from Pasuruan, East Java. Just like Yuni, Kumaiyah has also been performing qurbani through Global Qurban since 2013. She said that performing qurbani through Global Qurban is convenient and the distribution is right on target.

"I read and see, many people in remote areas, far from urban areas, only eat meat once a year. Therefore, I want to perform qurbani for them. In my neighborhood, Alhamdulillah, I can still eat and buy meat several times a year," Khumaiyah said.

In the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic, Khumaiyah hoped that more people will enjoy qurbani meat. As Eid Al-Adha 1441 AH nears, Khumaiyah also congratulated the team and volunteers of Global Qurban - ACT who are in charge of distributing sacrificial meat this year. "May you carry out the mandate and be in good health,” hoped Khumaiyah. []
