ACTNews, GAZA — In March, Humanity Water Truck from Aksi Cepat Tanggap visited almost all areas in Gaza, Palestine. This program provided free clean water to poor neighborhoods in Gaza. The amount of water distributed reached 1,977,000 liters.
Distribution was carried out in Jabalia, Alnazla, Beit Hanoun, Ezbet Beit Hanoun, Beit Lahia, Bear Alnaja, Shoshaa, Gaza City, Central Area, Khan Yunis, and Rafah. The number of beneficiaries had reached 1,997 families.
ACT tries to solve the water problem in Gaza through Humanity Water Truck. Said Mukaffiy from Global Humanity Response- ACT explained that when Humanity Water Truck came to an area in Gaza, the officers would flow the water to the residents’ jerry cans or water tanks.
“The water that ACT brings to the Gazans is clean water suitable for consumption. The Palestinian people can use it for their daily needs. With this clean water assistance, they are no longer deprived of clean water nor required to buy water," said Mukaffiy. The clean water assistance has benefits thousands of families in Palestine thanks to the generosity of Indonesian people who always help Palestinian families in need.
