ACTNews, DEIR AL-BALAH – On Monday (1/10/2022), Israeli troops attacked Palestinian farmers east of Deir al-Balah City in Gaza. Furthermore, the Israeli military attacked fishermen on Gaza's northern coast.

According to the official Palestinian news agency WAFA, Israeli troops stationed along the east of Deir al- Balah's border opened fire on farmers on their way to the gardens.

Aside from farmers, Israeli troops attacked fishermen on the al-Sudaniya beach, west of Gaza City. The attack damaged one boat and forced the fishermen to return to port for safety.

Firdaus Guritno from ACT’s Global Humanity Response team explained that Israel's arbitrary actions had no bounds. Disruption of Israeli troops is no longer just a threat, but it has become an act that destroys the Gazan economy.

ACT, as a humanitarian organization, ensures that Palestinian farmers and fishermen can continue to work and live. ACT provides business capital for farmers and fishermen.

"They, the people of Gaza, are fighting for their lives. We, who are far away, can provide the best assistance for their well-being. Let us join the Palestinian people's struggle," Firdaus said.[]
