Through ACT, Adzkia Foundation Organizes Fundraiser for Palestine

ACTNews, PADANG – The Palestinians have been experiencing a series of attacks in recent weeks. In the Holy Month, a series of attacks took place in Gaza and Jerusalem.

Motivated by concern for the Palestinian people who continue to struggle against Israeli occupation, the Adzkia Foundation of West Sumatra organized a fundraiser through its UPZ (Zakat Collector Unit. The funds raised by the students from several schools under Adzkia Foundation were handed over to the Aksi Cepat Tanggap (ACT) Padang branch on Wednesday (4/27/2022).

The head of UPZ Adzkia, Ustaz Syafriyon. M.Sos said the schools and the UPZ of the Adzkia West Sumatra Foundation fully supported the fundraiser to support Palestine. He admitted that the children were happy to help the Muslims in Palestine who are struggling against the Israeli occupation.

“Alhamdulillah, we from UPZ Adzkia have collaborated with ACT Padang in the One Hour with Palestine event thank ACT and donors. For us and our students who took part in the event, it was an event that made us feel so enthusiastic and motivated as we feel a strong bond of brotherhood with the Palestinian children and understand how they struggle to survive," said Ustaz Syafriyon.

IDR 57.5 million was raised in this event. The ACT Padang Branch Manager Aan Saputra, who attended the event, welcomed and appreciated the students' care for Palestine.

“We from ACT welcome and really appreciate the implementation of this activity. Insha Allah, it is hoped that this event will form a strong brotherhood between our students here and their Muslim brothers and sisters in Gaza," said Aan.

During the event on Friday (22/4/2022), around 1,700 students and teachers took part in a teleconference with representatives from Palestine to talk about the situations that they face there. []
