ACTNews, SIMEULUE – The mosque in Sembilan Village, West Simeulue District, Simeulue Regency, was destroyed by the earthquake and tsunami that struck Aceh in 2004. The community decided to re-establish a mosque, which they named Al-Amin. However, this mosque does not yet have proper restrooms.
According to Abdya Irfandi of the ACT Subulussalam team, Al-Amin Mosque's toilet is on a river. It is constructed of weathered wood and has a rusted zinc roof.
"There are two restrooms. There is one for men and one for women. Congregants using the restrooms are concerned about falling due to the brittle condition of the wooden floors," he explained on Friday (4/1/2022).

"Most residents are fishermen and farmers with erratic incomes. Their income is insufficient to make the restroom feasible because it is expensive," he explained.
ACT Subulussalam team invited Generous Friends to construct a toilet at Al-Amin Mosque. Generous Friends can give the best alms by contacting ACT Subulussalam directly. []
