ACTNews, LANGSA – Jamiatul Husna, an honorary teacher at an Islamic elementary school in Langsa City, continues to strive and professionally carry out her responsibilities. Husna becomes a teacher not only to teach her students but also an effort to make a living.

“I also teach to help my parents,” said Husna, Thursday (9/2/2021). Her monthly salary is IDR 700 thousand which is only paid every three months.

Previously, Husna had married in 2020, but her husband left her for no reason. She now becomes the only breadwinner for her family.

Rizal Fahmi from ACT Langsa team said that despite her family problems, as a teacher, she consistently teaches her students at school. According to Rizal, Husna is an example of a professional and sincere teacher in carrying out her role.

“Probably, she is always worried about the current situation of her husband. However, she has to put her worry aside when she is teaching. To cheer and support Husna's struggle, yesterday, Global Zakat-ACT provided financial assistance for her," explained Rizal, Wednesday (3/9/2021).[]
