ACTNews, NORTH JAKARTA – The Covid-19 pandemic has had a real impact on the Indonesians. Many of them are having a hard time because they have to make a living while employment opportunity is limited. To open a business, they also have to work hard to get capital.
Global Wakaf-ACT North Jakarta continues to help small business actors survive amid the pandemic. On Friday (6/25/2021) at Al Ikhlas Mosque, Cilincing, North Jakarta, Global Wakaf-ACT handed over waqf carts to MSME owners in Jakarta from the Waqf for MSMEs program.
“We believe that small and micro-businesses can survive in the current conditions. Therefore, Global Wakaf-ACT initiated Productive Business Waqf as a solution to help business owners with community waqf,” said Mohamad Irfan, the Branch Manager of ACT North Jakarta when handing over waqf carts.
Nila, one of the waqf cart beneficiaries, said she was happy with this capital assistance. Through this assistance, it will be easier for her to peddle around.
“I am very grateful for this waqf cart. I borrowed some money to fund my business. I will bought each piece of equipment,” Nila said.
Global Wakaf-ACT has expanded this business capital assistance program for small and micro business owners in various regions. This assistance will hopefully be able to increase the recipients' business capacity amid the pandemic.
