ACTNews, SUKABUMI REGENCY – To be viable, knowledge must be conveyed continuously. Therefore, Ustaz Asep (37) continues to teach the Quran in Lembangan Village, Sukaraja District, Sukabumi Regency. As someone who knows the Quran knowledge, Ustaz Asep feels obligated to share it.

“I received the knowledge of the Quran recital from my teacher at school. In order to make my teacher receive the blessing for the knowledge he shared, then I have to share the knowledge as well,” said Ustaz Asep, Tuesday (10/26/2021).

Currently, 25 children learn the Quran from Ustaz Asep. The learning time is divided into two shifts. Those who still learn Iqro come after the Ashr prayer, while those who are learning the Qur'an are scheduled after Maghrib prayer. Ustaz Asep does not ask for fees from his students. Instead, he works by collecting grass to feed other people's goats to meet his daily needs.

“The salary is uncertain. If I can collect a lot of grasses, I can get more money. If I get less grass then I will receive less money. My wife also opens a small shop in our house with a profit of IDR 50 to 100 thousand per day,” said the father of two.

On Tuesday (10/26/2021) Global Zakat-ACT delivers financial assistance to support Ustaz Asep’s struggle. The assistance was a realization of the National Movement for Indonesian Preachers’ Prosperity initiated by the Indonesian Ulema Council (MUI).[]
