ACTNews, MADIUN – Emergency Public Activity Restrictions (PPKM) has been enforced for two weeks. Many main roads are blocked and guarded by the joint officers from the Indonesian Military (TNI), Indonesian Police (Polri), Department of Transportation, and Civil Service Police Unit (Satpol PP). To support their activity in overseeing the Emergency PPKM implementation, ACT Madiun delivered Waqf Drinking Water, Friday (7/16/2021).
In Greater Madiun, checkpoints are established to monitor and reduce people’s mobility. Those checkpoints are manned by TNI, Polri, Department of Transportation, and Satpol PP officers. PPKM is enforced to reduce people’s activities to suppress the surging number of Covid-19 cases.
An Ishwahjudi Air Force Base military officer, Anang, thanked ACT for the assistance distributed to the officers at the checkpoint post. According to Anang, drinking water is very beneficial for the officers who monitor people’s activity to be reduced.
"Thank you, ACT, for the drinking water assistance delivered to our team who is always on guard. Insha Allah, our team here will maximize this assistance," said Anang, Friday (7/16/2021).
Aferu Fajar from ACT Madiun Program Team explained that the Waqf Drinking Water distribution was carried out in three Emergency PPKM checkpoints including Te’an, Gading, and Rejoagung. The three posts are located in the Greater Madiun region.
“The assistance is hoped to benefit the officers at the checkpoints to fulfill their water intake while doing their duties. Insha Allah, the assistance distribution will continue to expand to the civilians and on standby officers,” said Aferu Fajar.
He explains that until now, the pandemic is yet to end. Moreover, the enforcement period of Emergency PPKM will be extended. Therefore, ACT and Masyarakat Relawan Indonesia (MRI) Madiun are committed to supporting the government in handling the pandemic by helping the people in need.
