ACTNews, BANYUMAS REGENCY – Through Waqf for MSME program, Global Wakaf-ACT, in collaboration with Pegadaian Syariah Pasar Wage, Purwokerto, provided business capital assistance to twelve MSME owners in Banyumas District. On Wednesday (3/16/2022), the handover ceremony took place at the Assalam Mosque of GSMT Housing, Karanglewas Lor Village, Karanglewas District, Banyumas.
"Previously, the team conducted a beneficiary assessment. Therefore, we were able to determine the requirements of each owner. We provided carts, ovens, stoves, and other equipment. After the event, we gave them," said Rama Fardiansyah of Global Wakaf-ACT Banyumas Raya Team.
He also stated that, in addition to capital assistance, the Waqf for MSME program provided additional knowledge to beneficiaries through business mentoring. This program benefits from business mentoring because beneficiaries will receive material in the areas of business management, finance, marketing and branding, and spiritual motivation.
One of the beneficiaries, Jumirah, expressed gratitude for the Waqf for the MSME program. Jumirah sells a variety of foods such as nasi rames, nasi uduk, nasi kuning, and potato donuts. This single mother is now responsible for her two children, while the other two have relocated to a different city.
"Normally, I make between 100 and 200 donuts and 50 rice packs. Since the pandemic, I have had fewer buyers because there are so many competitors," said the woman who has been in business for eleven years.
Jumirah, on the other hand, never gives up. During this time, she continues to sell, albeit with ups and downs. "My merchandise does not always sell out. I just gave it to my neighbors or the surrounding community," Jumirah explained. Jumirah also hopes that with the help of this business capital, she will be able to keep and grow her current business.
