ACTNews, KARANGANYAR – Aksi Cepat Tanggap (ACT) continues to support santris (students) who are studying at Islamic boarding schools. With support from benefactors and local farmers who have produced the best rice, Waqf Rice can be distributed to the santris. The distribution continues to expand and target various Islamic boarding schools across the country.
On Saturday (9/18/2021), a total of 1,000 kilograms of Waqf Rice was distributed to the santris of Isy Karima Islamic Boarding School, Karangpandan, Karanganyar. In addition, 100 boxes of Waqf Drinking Water was also handed over as a form of support to the nation’s and religion’s next generation.
The Waqf Rice and Waqf Drinking Water handover were received by the Principle of Isy Karima Islamic Boarding School, KH. Syihabuddin AM, Al-Hafizh who gratefully welcomed the assistance.
Branch Manager of ACT Solo, Muhammad Irfan explains that the program is ACT’s collaboration with the boarding schools with the expectation that the assistance can motivate the santris to learn enthusiastically without thinking about their food supply in the school.
“Waqf Rice and Waqf Drinking Water are the products of kindness that also support other programs of kindness. Hopefully, there will be more acts of kindness with these products,” hoped Irfan.
Waqf Rice itself is produced by the local farmers assisted by Global Wakaf-ACT, while the Waqf Drinking Water is a product from Lumbung Air Wakaf that has been built in several regions.
