Waqf Rice Brings Joy to Impoverished Residents in Ciseeng, Bogor

ACTNews, BOGOR REGENCY – The commitment of Aksi Cepat Tanggap (ACT) in reducing hunger among people affected by the Covid-19 pandemic continues to be carried out. On Wednesday (8/4/2021), through Global Wakaf, ACT distributed 300 kilograms of Waqf Rice to the residents of Poncol Hamlet, Babakan Village, Ciseeng District, Bogor Regency, West Java. it was part of Free Food Operation that is massively carried out by ACT during the pandemic.

Hayanih, a Poncol Hamlet resident, is one of the Waqf Rice recipients. She revealed that people in her area rarely receive food assistance. “ACT is enthusiastically welcomed by our residents. Alhamdulillah, we can eat the rice again,” said Hayanih. Hayanih could not hide her happiness when receiving the Waqf Rice which was a blessing for her.

Wahyudi from ACT Bogor Program Team said that the Waqf Rice assistance couldn’t be separated from the Generous Benefactors’ donation throughout Indonesia who continuously assist the underprivileged communities who require food.

“Insha Allah, Waqf Rice can assist the residents’ food needs. We invite the benefactors to donate through bogor.indonesiadermawan.id so that there will be more blessings and Waqf Rice distribution to the underprivileged communities,” said Wahyudi.[]
