With a depth of 39 meters, this well can bring 10,000 liters of fresh and clean water per hour. “ This well is like a gift for people in Deir Al Balah. Especially in this holy month of Ramadan. About 330 families can access this water source,” said Said Mukaffiy.

ACTNews, GAZA — Global Wakaf and Aksi Cepat Tanggap continue to provide clean water to Gaza. Most recently, a Waqf Well was built at Jaffa Islamic Center, Deir Al Balah, Gaza. The water in this city is salty. It is not suitable for consumption, ablution, and bathing for people in Gaza.

Said Mukaffiy from ACT’s Global Humanity Response reported that the construction of Waqf Well had been carried out since early March. It was completed in early April. The depth of Waqf Well is 39 meters. The well can bring 10,000 liters of fresh and clean water per hour. “ This well is like a gift for people in Deir Al Balah. Especially in this holy month of Ramadan. About 330 families can access this water source,” said Mukaffiy.

Said Mukaffiy added that in Ramadan, Waqf Well program would continue at several points in Gaza, considering that there are still many areas that need access to water sources. “ We can build this Waqf Well thanks to the help of Indonesian benefactors. Many people in Indonesia are concerned about the people in Gaza. People in Gaza need our help to get out from the water crisis,” said Mukaffiy.[]
