ACTNews, GAZA – For poverty-stricken Palestinian families, this year’s winter is something too harsh for them to endure as they don’t have enough provisions and proper clothing in the face of the freezing winter.

Throughout February, Aksi Cepat Tanggap (ACT) has assisted Palestinian families in Gaza through the Winter Aid program. Warm clothes and meal packages were delivered to 306 poor families across Gaza.

Said Mukaffiy of ACT’s Global Humanity Response explained that the aid packages aimed to ease the burdens on poor Palestinian families. At the moment, the poverty rate in Palestine has risen up to 70 percent.

"Warm clothes were provided for children and adults. This humanitarian program was able to be done thanks to the support and collaboration with Indonesian benefactors. Thank you, dear Generous Friends,” Said concluded. []
