ACTNews, GAZA – Thanks to the contributions of generous Indonesian donors, a total of 65 wheelchairs were sent to the Palestinians with disabilities in Jabalia, North Gaza through the Indonesian Medical Clinic. This program aims to support Palestinians with disabilities due to congenital deficiencies or due to injuries caused by the Israeli attacks.

"Alhamdulillah, the distribution of the wheelchairs took place on September 25. Aksi Cepat Tanggap (ACT) volunteers in Palestine directly delivered dozens of wheelchairs to the homes of the beneficiaries using an ambulance," said Firdaus Guritno from ACT's Global Humanity Response team, Wednesday (9/29/2021)

Furthermore, Firdaus explained that the beneficiaries are mostly patients who had been treated in the Indonesian Medical Clinic.

"We hope that this assistance can facilitate the activities and mobility of the beneficiaries,” explained Firdaus.

To provide the people of Gaza with the best medical assistance, ACT’s Indonesian Medical Clinics have been actively running thanks to the support from the generous Indonesians. The people of Gaza can receive medical treatments, medications, and ambulance services in these clinics.

The wheelchair distribution has also taken place several times in 2020 in several Gazan regions. []
