
ACTNews, GAZA - A total of 60 wheelchairs were
distributed to Gazans who suffer from mobility impairment. It took place in
mid-March, and was supported by Rabbani, an Indonesian Islamic clothing brand. The
wheelchairs were distributed to patients in the Indonesian Medical Clinic in
Gaza.
Naser Mohra, one of the beneficiaries,
cried when he saw a wheelchair being delivered to his room. Naser is a
middle-aged man who have been suffering from mobility impairment.
"Alhamdulillah, thank you ACT for providing this assistance for me. May
Allah repay your kindness, "said Naser, almost sobbing on his bed.
Another beneficiary was Reda Ahmad. This
teenager needed a wheelchair to help him move more easily. "I'm very
grateful to ACT," said Reda to ACT volunteers in Gaza.
Andi Noor Faradiba from the Global
Humanity Response - ACT team said, the wheelchairs were given to Gazans who were
born with disabilities, injured by the military attacks, and the elderly.
"This wheelchair distribution was part
of the Indonesian Medical Clinic program for Gaza. We hope that this assistance
will help patients who have had difficulty moving due to injury or motor
impairment," explained Faradiba. []
