ACTNews, BOGOR REGENCY – That day (7/31), until late afternoon, Weni Novita (41) had not eaten a morsel of qurbani meat. The woman living in Bubulak Administrative Village, West Bogor Subdistrict, Bogor City, admitted that usually she had received qurbani meat from a nearby mosque on the first day of Eid Al-Adha. “Is there anyone performing qurbani at the mosque? Usually I receive meat from the mosque, but today I didn’t get anything,” Weni told ACTNews.
Some time ago, Weni contacted the Aksi Cepat Tanggap’s Humanity Care Line service from the Fast Action Response. This Eid Al-Adha, the Humanity Bikers returned to her house bringing rice and 1.5 kilograms of qurbani meat from Global Qurban – ACT. In delivering qurbani meat around the Greater Jakarta area, Global Qurban – ACT collaborates with the Humanity Care Line to reduce crowds.
"Alhamdulillah. Actually, I didn’t expect to receive meat and rice this Eid Al-Adha. Thank you,” said Weni.

For Weni, the delivery of rice and meat to her house has truly brought solace to her and her family. When the Humanity Biker contacted her, she was on her way from a relative’s house. She has been suffering from abdominal pain for some time. "I don’t have much to eat, let alone to get myself treated. I eat Let alone for the doctor, just sometimes we don't have to eat. I only what I am able to buy. Sometimes I cook instant noodle, one package for more than one. What’s important is having something to eat. Alhamdulillah for the meat delivered to me. It’s an additional nutrition for me and my family,” said the mother of three.
Can’t afford meat, milk, nor medicine
Weni admitted that, outside Eid Al-Adha, her family can’t afford to eat meat. Weni's husband, Usman, had just stopped working as a tourist bus driver. The pandemic has severely affected tourism business and forced his workplace to close.
Now, Usman peddles coffee around the Anyar Market in Bogor for a living. "I leave for work at 01:00 a.m. by a share taxi, and I usually go home after asr prayer," Usman said. A day, he can earn a profit of IDR 40,000 even though that too is irregular. Usman admitted that his income is not enough for him to support his family, including to pay rent, buy milk for his toddlers, or get her wife medically treated for her abdominal pain.
Weni has been feeling pain on her C-section scar. Sadly, she never got the pain treated because of financial restraints. Every time the pain appeared, she can do nothing but trying to endure.
"What is important is that now I am working my best and not begging,” said Usman.
The distribution of qurbani meat in the city of Bogor reached impoverished families who are registered in the Humanity Care Line service. Pungki Martha Kusuma, Head of Humanity Care Line, explained that the beneficiaries are based on the data that had been verified, making sure that the distribution is right on target. "We have verified the data of the beneficiaries. The recipients of the qurbani meat are those who have previously contacted the Humanity Care Line. Hence, we deliver to them not only meat but also the Waqf Rice,” said Pungki.
This Eid Al-Adha, added Pungki, Global Qurban - ACT is targeting 100,000 beneficiaries in Jabodetabek area until the third day past Eid Al-Adha until the third tasyrik day. "For people who still with to perform qurbani, Global Qurban is ready to distribute your qurbani animals," concluded Pungki.
