ACTNews, GARUT REGENCY – Yaman Suryamin now uses a cane to help him with his daily activities. He is an Islamic junior high school teacher in Garut Regency's Balubur Limbangan District.

A resident of Dunguswiru Village, Balubur Limbangan District, had his leg amputated in 2006 and again in 2021. He suffers from diabetes.

Yaman's body is not what it used to be, but that does not stop him from teaching. Yaman's passion for education motivates him to continue educating his students. Yaman earns money to support his family and children's education through his teaching job.

Global Zakat-ACT appreciates Yaman's loyalty to the world of education. Yaman received financial assistance in March through the Friends of Indonesian Teachers program.

"Thank you for bringing this to the attention of the benefactors, Alhamdulillah. Insha Allah, this encouragement is even more heartening for honorary teachers like me," Yaman stated. []
