Villages Around Mount Semeru Buried in Volcanic Ash

Several villages situated around the Semeru Volcano in Lumajang, East Java, were reported to be buried in ash after the volcanic eruption on Saturday (12/4/2021). Some residential houses were partly buried while others were completely hidden in a thick layer of ash. Several houses were damaged due to the massive weight of the ash spewed by the volcano.
